I have been here a few times and it is typically fairly empty, except on Sunday mornings. We went one Sunday morning for breakfast, and there were 4 adults and a toddler in our party. The restaurant was about 1/3 full. They had us wait for about 12-15 minutes and I understand when restaurants don't fill every seat, because of the number of servers, but I bet 5-6 parties came in after us and were able to be seated, right away. Granted, they were smaller parties, but it still didn't feel right. Perhaps the bussers aren't cleaning tables fast enough, or something. When we were seated, service was great, as was the food. They have a great kids menu. We were seated in the sun room and it was really cold. There is a pie and drink upgrade that you can add to your meal, and that is a really good deal. You have to specifically ask for the deal, though.

Perkins a great family style restaurant. This place reminds me of a Denny's or an ihop-ish style of atmosphere. The prices are quite reasonable. The staff was great. Waitress was the ideal customer service icon. Friendly, welcoming and very approachable. The food portion was quite large and I must say delicious. Would i recommend this place, yes.

I wish we had Perkins in Chicago. With that said, menu items are mostly under eight dollars and come with up to two sides. Me and a pal ordered off their new omelet menu, omelette's at 5:30pm served up with house potatoes, a short stack of pancakes and coffee. Of the special omelette's menu these were priced $6.49 +, satisfied the appetite and were cooked almost perfectly. The only disappointment were that the omelette's were not even close to looking like the photo off the menu, they tried, but missed greatly. Two men with filled bellies, smiles from great service and a tab which with tax was under twenty dollars. This Perkins can be seen from the road and has its own parking lot. On this weekday the dining room started to fill around 5:45 pm with mainly local residents. Mostly families and the elderly.

Truck parking is awesome, my husband is an OTR driver so when we find a place that has truck parking its a blessing. We had The Pumpkin pancake platter which we split and the meal still cost over 15.00 the charge over 2.00 for a side order of toast, 2 slices of bread. We eat out alot and the meals are also so huge that we try to split them. They were very busy for a Sunday morning and our server was less than friendly, guess she was just to busy to even smile. We had to flag her down twice for the rest of our order and for water. I had decaf coffee which tasted likeregular. Bathrooms were clean.

Eh, it's like a Baker's Square but with less pie. The food is good, classic, and greasy. THat's pretty much all you can ask for from this diner. On this particular evening, I was disappointed to find that they didn't have the adult mac n cheese anymore, but they were changing their menu. Wahwah. It's sad to have your taste buds set on something and then have to pick something else at the last minute. My cheeseburger was good, though, so I can't complain too much. It came with fries (or choice of another side) and it was pretty standard. Nothing huge, but it was worth the money, too! My companions seemed happy with their meals--they got breakfast items rather than dinner like I did, and Perkins did a good job. I'd be back!
